(1)as if引导方式状语从句。其用法和意义与as though相似，都表示“好像，仿佛”之意；在look，seem，feel，sound等系动词后可引导表语从句。

(2)当as if引导的方式状语从句或表语从句所表示的情况不是事实，而是主观的想象或夸大性的比喻时，从句通常用虚拟语气。as if/though从句用虚拟语气的情况：

a．当从句表示与现在事实相反的情况时，谓语动词用一般过去时，be动词用were；

b．当从句表示与过去事实相反的情况时，谓语动词用“had＋过去分词”形式；

c．当从句表示与将来事实相反的情况时，谓语动词用“could/might/would＋动词原形”。
