1. Before we begin，I want to ask you：have you ever been awed by natural wonders？ 

(1)in awe of 敬畏

(2)awed adj.充满敬畏的，畏怯的    be awed by 对……感到敬畏

(3)awesome adj.令人敬畏的；使人畏惧的；可怕的；极好的

练习：

(1)“the＋比较级...，the＋比较级...”意为“越……就越……”，表示主、从句的两个谓语是同时进行的，一方随另一方程度的变化而变化。

(2)从结构上看，第一个“the＋比较级...”是表示条件的状语从句；在表示将来意义的情况时，从句用一般现在时表示将来。第二个“the＋比较级...”是主句，用一般将来时。
