The Dai people in Xishuangbanna in Southwest China's Yunnan province celebrated the traditional Water-Splashing Festival from April 14 to 16. Tourists joined locals in passing on blessings as they splashed water on each other. In addition to the grand water-splashing celebration, a series of cultural activities, such as galas, dance and music performances also took place, allowing visitors to experience the unique charm of Yunnan culture. The Water-Splashing Festival is a New Year celebration that holds particular significance for people from the Dai ethnic group in Yunnan.
